The Wrath of Man
James 1:20 (Wrath of Man) by Carl Johnson
The wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from among you: Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath, because…
the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. (2x) A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and many be defiled Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto God’s wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. [It is] an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. The wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. copyright 2007
