You thought nobody saw you when you thought that evil thought in your heart, When the Lord said cooperate you wouldn’t even do your part. You thought you were saved because you pray so very loud, Eloquence of speech, big words, in front of a crowd. You’ve been slipping and tipping, sliding and dipping, You can run but you sho’ can’t hide. God’s got your number.
You think you are saved because you don’t wear makeup and your dress is so very long You think nobody hears you when you’re gossiping on that phone. You think nobody sees you when you sneak a puff on that cigarette. You think nobody sees you when you sneak to the casinos and place a bet. You’ve been slipping and tipping, sliding and dipping, You can run but you sho’ can’t hide. God’s got your number. You think nobody saw you when told some very little white lies Ignored the preacher when he said, “You better pay your tithes.” The word came forth that said be a chaste keeper at home. Rolled your eyes at the man of God and said, “Ok look here, Reverend, I am grown. So get a clue, cause I don’t know who you think you talking to.” You’ve been slipping and tipping, sliding and dipping, You can run but you sho’ can’t hide. God’s got your number.
Now the word of God is quick and powerful sharper than any two-edged sword, a discerner of the thoughts. To the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, Reads the intents of the heart. Every idle word, and every idle deed, Every idle thought, God can surely see. Now, by two immutable things it’s impossible for God to lie. He said it in His Word, “The soul that sinneth shall die.” Whither can I go from the presence of the Lord? If I go to the mountaintop, He’s there. If I make my bed in Hell, He’s there. No matter where you go, the eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and the good. No matter who you are, no matter where you’ve been No matter what you’ve done, you must give an account of your soul. Be not deceived, for God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. If you sow to the flesh you will of the flesh reap corruption, But if you sow to the spirit you will gain eternal life. Yea, It is appointed unto man once to die, But after this cometh the judgement. That which is done in secret, shall be shouted on the roof top And that which is done in the dark, shall be seen in the light. Cause that great and terrible day of the Lord is at hand, Will you be ready? Will you be ready to meet the Lord? You can run, but you sho’ can’t hide. Cause God’s got your number. I said God’s got your number.
